Auguste is a character in Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent. He is the main antagonist of the Master of Fame path. While keeping a façade of a respected playwright, he’s a manipulative psychopath and serial killer who only finds inspiration to write his plays after murdering someone. However, he’s able to manipulate those close to him to do nothing to stop him, making them think that his victims are the means to a greater end: his plays.
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a role-playing video game developed by Square Enix and Acquire. The game (a prequel to the original Octopath Traveler) was released in October 2020 in Japan and in the West in July 2022 for Android and iOS. The game plays as a traditional turn-based JRPG, it also has free to play and in-app purchase gameplay mechanics.
