Our journey through the Bestower of All storyline begins a terrifying new chapter with Between Life and Death. Just when it seems Orsterra has finally found peace, everything falls apart as Sazantos kills Finis, disappears alongside Signa, and leaves the Divine Rings pointing toward a mystery that shouldn’t exist.
Our search begins in Castle Edoras, where the kingdom prepares for Empress Tatloch’s execution. But before justice can be carried out, the Rings react to a sinister presence, opening a path toward a place beyond the world we know.
Following the Rings’ guidance, we descend into Hell: Cragspear, a corrupted reflection of the city we’ve fought so hard to protect. Haunted by cursed soldiers, dark mist, and echoes of the fallen, we push through Geist Canyon as the boundary between life and death begins to unravel.
Deep within the darkness, we’re forced into a devastating confrontation with Fallen Mahrez, proving that this new threat is unlike anything we’ve faced before. With Richard joining our party and an even greater mystery beginning to emerge, Between Life and Death launches the final chapter of our journey through Orsterra.
This is my first playthrough of Octopath Traveler 0, so we’re continuing completely blind and experiencing the story, characters, battles, and twists as they unfold.
