Our journey through the Master of All storyline continues with Chapter 3: Charles the Traveler. After the events surrounding General Mahrez, everything has changed. Framed for Mahrez’s assassination, we can no longer approach King Pardis directly and are forced to operate from the shadows while the situation in Edoras continues to unravel.
Our search for answers takes us to the slums of Cragspear, where we begin investigating the soldiers pursuing us and searching for clues about what really happened to Mahrez. From there, our journey leads us to Clearbrook, where we meet the apothecary Zeph and become involved in a dangerous investigation involving bandits hiding in the Waterpool Caves.
Deep within the caves, we confront the bandit leader Gimel and uncover another piece of the mystery surrounding the chaos in Edoras. After the battle, we meet Charles, a proud swordsman with his own reasons for taking up arms and a strong desire to protect his homeland.
With Charles joining our journey, we gain another ally in the fight against the growing threat surrounding King Pardis and take another step toward uncovering the truth behind what is happening in Edoras.
This is my first playthrough of Octopath Traveler 0, so we’re continuing completely blind and experiencing the story, characters, battles, and twists as they unfold.
